java.lang.RuntimeException: Failed to retrieve data from Presentation ServerCould not connect to OBI Presentation Service.

I have installed latest OBIEE 12c on windows server 2012. Initially everything is fine but in publisher I have enabled the superuser and security model BI publisher security model. Then and there neither the weblogic user can login nor the superuser. The mentioned above error is thrown. What shall I do to login from super user or back from weblogic. Please suggest.

Thanks

Sumendra

Why did you switch to BIP security instead of FMW model?

Since there we didn't find the option to create new user. So we have switched to BI Publisher Security. I thought its permission level issue. And as per the image you have shown there is no such option like oracle fusion middleware.

Ok so you have a totally different problem which was tried to be solved with a - sorry - totally wrong approach:

You must comprehend how security actually works!

    Dear Sir,

Since I am not being able to login via any logins I am stuck in the middle way. Either I have to revert the changes or I need to resolve the issue. Since I have no expert knowledge about the obiee security, can you please guide me to get out of this mess.

    Regards

Did you also lock out weblogic or other admin users as well?! So basically you're saying you destroyed the security of your environment??

    Dear Sir,

I haven't lock out weblogic and other admin users. I have just changed the security environment of obiee publisher not more than that.

    Regards

Above you said that you're not able to login via any logins. So you CAN log on which means you can remedy this:

Remedy = "just" change the security model of BI Publisher (not "obiee publisher" - they're distinct products bundled together) back to the proper, integrated Fusion Middleware model which I referenced in my very first response post.

Long story short - if you changed it, change it back.

And a general counsel: before you start twisting knobs and fiddling setting in such crucial areas like security please try to understand what's going on first.
