Installation of BI Sample VM

Hi All,

I am trying to install "OBIEE 11.1.1.9.0 - Sample Application version 506" VM into my laptop.

I have downloaded all the 6 zip files (SampleAppv506p.zip.001 through .006).

And downloaded 7zip for unzipping the files.

I am facing issue to unzip the files using 7zip, below is the screenshot of the error I am facing.

I tried to download v406 version, even its giving the same error.

Could someone please help me to solve this issue.

    Notice in your dialog your files have .###.zip (windows explorer is hiding the familiar extension so you aren't seeing the real issue ) ... these should just end with .### (no extra .zip) ... try removing the last file extension.

    SampleAppv506p.zip.001.zip rename to SampleAppv506p.zip.001

    It's crazy the number of people hitting that issue and not seeing their Windows File Explorer is hiding extensions ....

    Hi Thomas,

    I was unable to see the .zip extensions on windows explorer, but it was visible on 7zip file manager, I have renamed the file name as you suggested in file manager window, and it worked fine, able to unzip the folders without error.
