ORacle BI 12C RCU Not Supporting MySQL 5.7

Hello All,
I have just installed Oracle BI 12c on windows 8.1
I have MySQL 5.7 installed , when I tried to create new repository Using the RCU, i got this error
Reviewing the supported list i found that version 4.1 and 5.0 are only supported MySQL server versions ,
While previous versions of MySQL server is no longer available for downloading , is there any Configuration to solve this problem ?
Thanks
Hammam

1.4.4 Continue Repository Creation with MySQL 5.7During the Repository Creation phase of Oracle Fusion Middleware installation, when you continue the installation process with the database version MySQL 5.7, the following certification warning message is displayed:The selected database is more recent than the supported list of certified databases for this version of Oracle Fusion Middleware. For the most recent list of certified databases, refer to the Supported System Configurations information on the Oracle Technology Network.
Click Ignore and continue with the installation process.
The main intention of displaying this message, is to inform you about the selected database version and not to stop/quit the installation process. [23242675]

For OBIEE 12c MySQL isn't a valid target database for the RCU schemas.
If you look in the certification matrix you see MySQL 5.6 and 5.7 are supported as sources to be used in the RPD to build models and analysis on top.
The doc referenced above by @Gbenga Ajakaye is about ODI (which can support MySQL for RCU as the certification also confirm).
OBIEE RCU can use Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server, check the matrix for details on versions.
PS: Windows 8.1 also isn't a supported OS, as it's a desktop OS it officially support only the Admintool.

We desperately need a sticky thread with cert matrix and a warning not to use desktop OS.

Thanks for Catching that Gianni.

Ok, let's make it simpler:
The certification matrix isn't an imaginary thing: MySQL isn't supported for the OBIEE RCU !
Nothing else to say...

Let's make it even simpler:
1.) stop what you're doing
2.) install this:https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads
3.) install this: OBIEE Samples
4.) deploy
5.) done
6.) fill up your diesel-powered car with 100 octane petrol
7.) reflect on why it's not a good idea in insisting on using something you're repeatedly being told is not supported
