any patch bundle for your 12.2.1.0.0?
-
Hi Christian, What exact version of OBIEE 12c are you using for these screenshots?
-
Did you figure out why the patch 24695761 caused login issue with BI Publisher? Oracle is telling me to install this patch for another issue. I feel this patch won't fix my issue, but they still want me to install it.
-
Thanks for your fast reply! I have a question. In your 2nd article, it specifies the memory requirement for Oracle Fusion Middleware. Is it referring to the Infrastructure server or the OBIEE server? I didn't see much about OBIEE server requirements?

OK, I will look into increasing the java heap size for Node Manager. When we have this issue, I bounce the obips1 and obis1 and the issue is resolved, until it craps out again. Any insights on what's behind obips1 and obis1 that could stall the login issue?
-
Hi Federico, I haven't increase the Node Manager Java heap size. It is interesting you brought this up. What's the rationale for increasing the Node Manager Java Heap size to this issue?
-
Hi Andrew, This issue had occurred after a fresh install of OBIEE 12c. By now, we have a 1 user, 2 folders, and 2 analyses. As I mentioned, it works fine for awhile, then this issue pops up. If I reboot the BI services, it'll work fine again. We have this issue in both of our environments, shortly right after a clean…

Just curious, your statement is INSERT, but I see the record type = UPDATE? Is that normal?

So you are able to download and upload within your TEST and within your PROD. But you can't upload from TEST to PROD. Maybe it is some issue with cross platform...
-
Hi, Your error seems to point password issue. Anyway, if you want to upload your RPD from your Windows client to the Linux server, take a look at this post: downloadrpd -S -N

You may need to install the BASH shell in AIX because the start.sh script references it.

Thank you guys for the insights! I will adapt my process for dashboard development. Since dashboards are based on absolute paths, I'm assuming it will be fine when I migrate it (Archive/Unarchive) from one environment (DEV) to another (TEST), given I maintain the same folder structure under Shared Folders.

As time goes by, the logs are getting purged. But I'm still not sure what setting controls what logs since there are way too many in OBIEE!

Hi Joel, Clicking the Log Viewer link will eventually take me to the 4th screenshot in my previous post. It'll show all the logs, but none from the OBIS server (the screenshot from Christian). I don't have access to the server, so I was hoping I could access all logs from Enterprise Manager. Thanks for your input.

I searched in Oracle Support and there's a bug with my version, 12.2.1.0.0 where obis1-query.log doesn't get updated by setting LOGLEVEL=2 in the repository, Manage --> Identity option: https://support.oracle.com/epmos/faces/SearchDocDisplay?_adf.ctrl-state=19o6vj188j_9&_afrLoop=326294545831637#SYMPTOM I was able to use…

I followed your instructions, but still only see the AdminServer and BI logs for the Weblogic Domain. Is there something I need to configure to turn on the OBIS logs?
-
Hi Christian, I'm not able to see these logs for OBIS. Can you tell me how you get to this screen? I can only see these:
-
I set my user to LOGLEVEL=2 in the repository, online mode. After I ran a sample Analysis, I can't find the obis1-query.log in Enterprise Manager? Is it only available by logging into the server directly? I also tried going to Manage Sessions and click on the "View Log" link, but the result says "No Log Found" Any ideas?

Hi Joel, Thanks for the information! Looks like I need to install the Oracle Secure Enterprise Search or Oracle Endeca Server to use the full text search option. Since we don't have it installed, I don't think we need to have Crawl enabled.

Thanks for your response. I have tried #2 so far. I wasn't sure if the 65,000 record limit is imposed at the DB level or the BI Server level. Your answer suggests it is imposed at the DB level.
