Along with this , ensure you check if Windows Registry is clean . It does not have any trace of earlier OBIEE installed. Rename the earlier folders . Thanks Anjum

Hi Windows 8 is not a supported platform for OBIEE 12C. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/fusion-middleware/documentation/fmw-1221certmatrix-2739738.xlsx You can try change the compatibility settings but I have little hope that it might work smoothly. Thanks Anjum
