Is there any plans to improve / enhance / innovate classic features ? nothing changed in last 10-12 years on functionality. Or is there any plans to port (refactor) the classic functionalities to DV side.
-
@RahulMore — the promise of "FDI Operational Reporting" in the future might reduce the pain :-); i hope.

The best of classsic features should be ported over to DV side. Should introduce the concept of Workspace to bundle workbooks/data/flow/security/stylesheets. This would help de-centralize cross-departmental and expand userbase in a containerized fashion.

@Jamie Anderson-Oracle — Following up on this topic. On FDI's OAC version does not let us add a new theme to personalize the look and feel in DV. What is a recommended approach to customize theme (branding/style) etc. for FDI content (custom analytics content)?

Jamie, thanks for the detail explanation. In summary, for any "one-off" or "infrequent" expenses to use MISC category. More predictable expenses can use OTHER category. thanks again for the details.

@Jamie Anderson-Oracle — thanks for this follow up discussion. A dashboard under "Common" shared folder by Oracle would be ideal. Current scenario: These categories are all over the places - key metrics, business metrics and various viz. Currently there is no referenceable metadata on which "fin cat" is used on what Viz.…

@Krishna Prasad Kotti-Oracle - in your previous reply you said - "…ensure to provide the data for all chart of accounts and use the replace option…"; so if we have 4 countries (4 COA), we are required to map for all COA in one file and upload. Please confirm if that is what you intended in your reply.

@Krishna Prasad Kotti-Oracle - thanks again, When we load with 5 columns with values (CHART_OF_ACCOUNTS, FA_COST_CTR, GL_ACCOUNT, GL_BALANCING and FINANCIAL_CATEGORY) - the process works. Tried with a sample of 3000 records. When we load with CHART_OF_ACCOUNTS, GL_ACCOUNT, and FINANCIAL_CATEGORY the process shows no error…

@Krishna Prasad Kotti-Oracle — thanks for the response. Couple of observations that i want to share and seeking your feedback - When we load the file with FA_COST_CTR and GL_BALANCING ( with no values), we get an error with message "FA_COST_CTR" is required. This message is confusing. When we remove the above two columns…

Do we have a similar infographic view for ERP Finance?
-
@Victor H — add few examples from your side. @Alan Lee-Oracle - We need the functionality that exists in classic, where agent actions can be triggered based on day/time logic, conditionally depends on some SQL logic or business rules based of dataset attributes (for example #KPI value is >= Aggr(#measure) ) etc.

This is a very critical feature that our customers will love to have. Conditional triggering is critical function to alert on outliers, deviation from thresholds and applying appropriate business rules. Can also we be used for date/time-based conditions as well.
