  • HI, What is your exact version of OBIEE? Also, please specify what issues you are seeing (screenshot(s)). I'm not sure what "showing but not properly" means ... Regards, Charles
  • Thanks for confirming Robert. Should be useful. Plus, now we know what it does!
  • Ok, thanks Gianni. I see what you mean. That makes sense, especially if you want/need to find something in the RPD. So, I guess it really doesn't matter, decision-wise, since it won't actually change anything. Probably not really worth it for us, because we are using Bi Apps (and, I need to use the original RPD, which we…
  • Christian, Gianni, Thanks so much for the help with this! I was finally able to do it (way more objects than I wanted to have to do, but all's well that ends well). I now have all of the analyses in my own sub-folder. We can now move over to a shared folder and so on. I wanted to follow up with one of Gianni's earlier…
  • Hi Christian (and Gianni ), Thanks again for the replies. Quick question here. On the file system, for the xml and atr files, the '+' signs just represent spaces, right? Also, how about '%' signs? Are they literal values or represent something else? Trying to get the naming right. BTW, they are all saved analyses. Also, do…
  • Hi Gianni, I did copy the entire <userXYZ> folder. I'll try again with some individual objects. Also, on your second point, do you know how to do that? Thanks for helping ... Charles
  • Update: I can see it, using "admin view" from the catalog/front-ent. But, I still access denied when I click on it. When I check the ownership, it says System Account. Could I change that? Charles
  • Thanks Christian. I just tried this out in a non-prod instance, but it didn't seem to work. Here's what I did: Copied the {id}.atr and the corresponding {id} directory from 'users' to 'shared'; then bounced the application. I don't see it in the front-end catalog, under shared folders ... but, I do see it there in the…
  • Ok, thanks Gianni. Would it be possible to "re-create" the account (in WebLogic) with the same ID? Thus, allowing access back to the user objects?
  • Hi Gianni, It doesn't look like I'm able to modify the permissions in the Catalog Manager GUI (online). I will try to use the offline mode (server-side). Regards, Charles
  • Hi Gianni. Thanks. I did open up the Catalog Manager (as WebLogic) in online mode, but I get 'No Access' when I try to open the folder.
  • Hi, Can you take a look at the node manager log, and paste any errors? Nodemanager: [DOMAIN_HOME]/nodemanager/nodemanager.log Regards, Charles
  • Sorry, can't do that. That is a My Oracle Support note. This is a public forum. My recommendation is that you provide some additional details, so others can help out. Give some context ... when did this last work, any changes made, OS your using, etc. Is this a fresh install (you get the idea)?
  • Also ... where is that output coming from? Is that standard out, or from a log? I'm a bit confused because you show a stop command, but I can see entries trying to start the admin server? Can you confirm that is the exact output you get, once you execute the stop command. Also, also, explain more about your configuration.…
  • Could you check the admin server log(s)? Also, see if this note helps you: weblogic.Admin PING fails with java.net.SocketException: Connection reset; No available router to destination (Doc ID 1398139.1) Regards, Charles
  • Just saw this posting, Not sure if you still are looking for this type of information ... but, have you seen these notes: OBIEE 11g Test-to-Production (T2P) / Clone Procedures Guide (Doc ID 1625533.1) OBIA 11g How to Migrate Configurations and Customizations from Development to a Test or a Production Environment (Doc ID…
  • Hi, Have you seen this note: Fusion Applications: How to set up and access the nqquery.log to troubleshoot a single OTBI or OBIA query (Doc ID 1469168.1) I know you are on a different version, but I htink it may still be applicable, in theory. Also, have a look here for file/log locations in 12c: OBIEE 12c: Quick Reference…
  • Hi, Take a look at this note: OBIA 11g: How to Refresh Test Environment With Production Database (Doc ID 2232718.1). It may help with this type of approach ... Regards, Charles
  • Hi Avinash Pentyala, Robert Angel, Thanks for the replies. We are working with support to investigate this further. I'll circle-back here when we make some progress ... Regards, Charles
  • Seems like a very similar process, but in case here is the 11g note: How To Update OBIEE 11g Configuration When The Repository (RCU) Schemas Have Changed (Doc ID 1307835.1) Let us know if you have any issues ... I have recently done this for MDS & BIAPLATFORM (OBIEE 11.1.1.9.3) Regards, Charles
