I can also see that pulling this column directly out of the subject area for an Analysis does not yield any results (whereas, some of the other Spend columns will return data on their own).

Hi, I don't use the 12c version (still on 11g), but maybe you can try this note to help figure out what is going on: OBIEE 11g|12c: How To Enable JavaHost Logging to Capture Export (PDF/Excel ) and Graph/Chart Requests (Doc ID 1966917.1) Regards, Charles

Hi dileraco, Were you able to try the above suggestion? I had some issues a few weeks back with an online connection, and doing this resolved it. May be a good place to start. Charles
-
Hi dileraco, Can you try to creating a new ODBC connection against the same server, with a different name? And, see if that works? Regards, Charles
-
Ha ... only "calling it a day" on this issue. Still have others to work on Eventually, I'll get to beer time!
-
Thanks a lot Gianni! Also, for the good explanations along with helping me troubleshoot this. I'm going to delete the problem connection and call it a day for this one ... Regards, Charles

Thanks Gianni! Creating a new ODBC connection against the same server, with a different name worked. Now I can see that connection in the Online-mode dialogue box: I'm not exactly sure how it got fixed. But, maybe creating the new connection after the new driver was installed made it work? I had seen that it was using the…

I de-installed both versions (11.1.1.7.0 & 11.1.1.9.0), and then re-installed only the .9 version. But, I am still finding the same issue. I found this note: Open Button is Greyed Out and User is Unable To Open OBIEE Repository in Online Mode (Doc ID 1598325.1). Yet, none of the solutions fixed the issue By the way ... are…

Hi Gianni, I did restart the Admin tool a few times since this happened, but no luck It does look like I may have another version of the Admin tool on my local machine. I'm reviewing the settings/configurations at this time Thanks, Charles

choracy69, Did you try using the logarithmic scale? Again, I am not sure if it is available for version and/or this graph type. But, it is worth checking into. It can "smooth" out the values which are otherwise so far apart. It's an easy attempt ... only one checkbox to change (revert back the same way, if it doesn't help.…

Maybe a bit of a long shot, but you could also try using the "logarithmic scale", if it is available on this graph. I have seen that help with our graphs that have extreme value disparities ... Charles
-
Thanks Christian. So, essentially not too much extra functionality here. Just a feature to do something in a bit of a different way?

Hi Moh, Do you have an Oracle Support Account? I'm not sure exactly what I can post here, but if you search on MOS for 'An error occurred retrieving DMS metrics' ... you will come across a bug. It is on Windows 64-bit server for the version previous to yours (not showing as resolved). Maybe open an SR for this, if no one…

Ok, thanks Christian (sorry I see that now ... I missed it before). I'll get back on the rest ...
-
Hi Christian. Let me see if I can re-create this in Dev. That way, I can use folders with different names. Some folder names are sensitive to the public forum. Not sure I can do it today ... but, I'll get it going in the next day or so. Thanks again. Any thoughts of the privileges?
-
Hi Christian. Thanks for the reply. It doesn't look like that change is having the intended effects (possibly I am not doing it correctly ... but I tried a few times to test with some folders and analyses). Has anyone been able to do this with the sample app? I don't have one installed yet ... Also, I can see that that I…

Hi, Take a look at this note: OBIEE 12c: Using Fusion_FX Style Results In Missing Icons On The OBIEE Home Page (Doc ID 2372976.1) It is for 12c, but has very similar issues to what you are seeing. Hope it helps! Charles

Hi Gianni, Agreed. I only have so much influence over the "appearance" though . We do have a table right above that graph with the numbers/data. In this way, the data is already presented. For what its worth, I did try using the "logarithmic scale". But, even still, the data markers are too crowded. Sounds like we've…

Good point Gianni. I missed that perspective. I can see why those numbers can't be changed now. That definitely needs to be taken into consideration, if this style is to be used for this purpose. Charles

I noticed that the button is disabled, if you select Recipient for the Run As option on the General tab. Any way that could be used to control this feature in the way that you want? Regards, Charles
