Thanks @SteveF-Oracle for your prompt response! Honestly, I wasn't able to reproduce the error either on my end. I wouldn't have believed it, but the user recorded the video and sent it to me showing the column drag option. We are using the Microsoft edge browser. Hopefully the OAS 7.6 patch can resolve some of these UI…

True! :-( Till then, I can use some other workaround of using an Oracle Database (or another staging area) to fetch paginated API data before loading it into DV
-
Thanks @Gianni Ceresa. I just posted an idea on the Idea lab Add Native Support for REST API Pagination in Oracle Analytics DV (OAS/OAC) — Oracle Analytics
-
Thanks for such a detailed explanation! I will try the solution you provided and will let you know.

@Gianni Ceresa We do have a full, unified, dataset in a table. Now what we would like to do is just do incremental through API to update the data on ongoing basis and not do a full load every time. Would you mind explaining this below statement? 'I believe that a dataflow is what you will need to do the job of adding the…
-
@Gianni Ceresa We do have a different API call that gives us new and update rows. The only thing I wasn't sure of was whether the incremental run through DV dataflows would handle both new data and updated data.
-
GayathriAna7.nd-Oracle No, we do have an identifier column in the dataset that we can use the track the new and updated data. Is this cache reload type option available in Oracle DV 7.6?
-
@Christian Berg -Oracle We are planning to move to OAC from OAS 7.6. I had a similar question as above if there is any software/tool to perform a load testing in OAC environment? The question was asked in 2018 so I would like to know if anything has changed since then.

@Benjamin Arnulf-Oracle @Jamie Anderson-Oracle Is it possible to make these visualizations downloadable and reusable wherever possible? Many of these are highly useful, and allowing the community to access and rebuild them would save a significant amount of time for users.
-
@Gianni Ceresa That is very likely the case. I will check with my DBAs and Networks team to confirm. Thanks for your help, as always!
-
@SteveF-Oracle Could you please file a bug/defect for this issue? That would help it gain more visibility and potentially increase its priority. I would have done it but I don't want to mention anything in SR that would confuse things further
-
@Gianni Ceresa I copied the exact details from above JSON file you shared and it still gives me an error. Looks like a patching issue @SteveF-Oracle was alluding to
-
@Gianni Ceresa My json file doesn't have a / in base URL but somehow when I import it automatically adds it. Are you suggesting I manually make the changes after importing?
-
@SteveF-Oracle I will check with my DBAs and revert. Thanks!
-
@Gianni Ceresa Tried importing the JSON file too but its throwing an error. Below is the screenshot : Yes, I did customize the template I downloaded. Currently I am just using my SSO as basic auth. I am not sure though if I am using all the right info. I tried replacing the info in the template to best of my knowledge. It…

@Gianni Ceresa It is doing the exact same thing to me. If I will add another random endpoint, the save button gets enabled. I will try to click around and see if I can save the connection too. One of the use cases I am trying to leverage the REST API endpoints for is to make the connection to ServiceNow data. I tried using…
-
@Gianni Ceresa Thanks for providing the details. I did the exact same thing you did but the 'save' button just won't enable for me. Below is the screenshot: Any idea what might be going on? Thanks!
-
@Gianni Ceresa Thanks for the prompt response! Could you please tell me what base URL you used for the above API connection? Also, what did you use as name for the REST endpoint?

@BalagurunathanBagavathy-Oracle Administrators can see the datasets under Data>Datasets tab in DV but not on the console > content management page in DV. The datasets on the console> content management page is where our admins typically go to change the ownership on the assets.
-
@Nehemias-Oracle I am not trying to change the permissions on the datasets I own. The owner of these datasets has left the organization, and we are trying to port over the ownership of his datasets to someone else in the team
