Hi Prasanna. Please try to run this and check the logs for some more detailed error information. https://blogs.oracle.com/analyticscloud/4-steps-to-oracle-data-visualization-diagnostics-support Cheers Fernando

Hi Prasannasrinivasan. I was expecting to see some extra information on that error. Questions: Are the attributes in the JOIN of the same data type? If they are not maybe is necessary to add an additional step to make them to be of the same data type. Are you able to run a Data Flow for each one of the files in its…

Hi Prasannasrinivasan Are you able to share the entire error message with us, please? Cheers Fernando

Hi Chethana. Thanks for your reply. Again, assuming that you are not doing any complex transformation in the Data Flow. What happens if you run a query in the database with the same join in the data flow? Are you able to run that and see the time it takes to return all rows? My suggestion is to instead of losing more time…

Hi Chethana. Questions: Assuming that you want to see the query the data flow is running, I imagine that you want to verify the performance against the database (Autonomou DW) right? Are the tables in the same database? Is the join between columns with the same data type? Are the columns indexed? Please, give us a little…

Hi Bipul. The only way I think this is possible is using SubTemplates together with an IF-ELSE statement in a master template. Check this. Calling a Subtemplate from a Main Template https://docs.oracle.com/middleware/12211/bip/BIPRD/GUID-43E24DE3-F1DE-47E1-8B2F-C8ED59D619BA.htm#BIPRD3064 Cheers Fernando

Hi Mthompson. Did you try looking at the BI Publisher log? Should be on the following folder: BI Publisher: [DOMAIN_HOME]/servers/bi_server1/logs/bipublisher/bipublisher.log Another option is to get the View Engine Log file from the Data Model and investigate if there are no errors there. Cheers Fernando

Hello Ankitkumar. Not sure which Subject Area you are looking for but check the following doc. OTBI Audit Reports - where to find Created By, Last Updated By, Creation Date (Doc ID 2419093.1)It may give you what you need. Cheers Fernando

Hi Srekan. Yes, there is. Navigate to your Report Template, click on the table that contains your data and on the Table tab options change the value on "Rows to Display" (see image). If you are using a PivotTable, I don't think that is possible. Cheers Fernando

Hi Srekan. Looks like you didn't get any reply on this. It is a RTF template you are working with? Have a look at the following options. https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E80149_01/bip/BIPRD/GUID-F8B5ACA1-6054-4028-8AC4-2BC43E12332F.htm#BIPRD2583 Cheers Fernando

Hi Ibrahim. My two cents. You may try to create your own for the Desktop version. https://www.oracle.com/webfolder/technetwork/tutorials/obe/fmw/bi/dvdesktop/viz_plugin/dvd_sdk.html Cheer Fernando

Hi Duncan. Looks like the objective of this report is to export data using DV? Please correct me if I'm wrong. If that is the case please look at this. https://docs.oracle.com/en/cloud/paas/bi-cloud/bilug/write-visualization-data-csv-or-txt-file.html If it is not I'm not sure what the user is trying to see with this amount…

Hi Atif. I'm assuming the SQL Query works fine when running in SQL Developer or other SQL tool right? Are you able to click on "View Data" and then "View Engine Log" and upload to the thread so we can investigate a little better. Please, if you want to remove any sensitive information from the log (server name, etc...), do…

Data Set Connection

Hi Prakash. It is just a hunch. See the images on my sample data model. First image is the Data Model Default Data Source Second image is the Data Set Data Source. Just check if is the correct one on the data set. May not be the problem but worth checking. Cheers. Fernando
