Hi Dhaval. If it works on other view then is not "bad data". Do you have any formatting on any attribute? I faced similar issues when using some format in dates and numbers (even in the URL property) that caused errors in interactive mode. I didn't spend much time on that to investigate why. You will be able to identify…

All good Carlos.

Hi Dinesh. Which error do you receive? Please, have a look at the following thread. Importing Oracle DVD projects into Oracle VA Cheers. Fernando

Hi Dhaval. I believe you should investigate this issue in more detail. May not be a timeout issue but "bad data" (formatting, invalid number,...) You may try to edit the Data Model, go to View Data and run with the same parameters the user is running. If you are lucky, and there is and issue, the error may be on the first…

Hi Juan. Once you set to export the Data (csv) it includes the whole datasource content. I believe you will need to create outputs as E-TXT formatting as CSV on each dataset. Check this Blog for some options or google BI Publisher E-TXT Hope this helps. Cheers. Fernando

Hi Dineshkumar. Are you saving the dataset in a database or storage? If you are performing just incremental updates (refresh) I can't see why losing permissions? Only if recreating or overwriting I can see the permissions being lost. Refreshing Data that You Added Cheers. Fernando

Hi Dineshkumar. So your Data Flow is recreating (drop and create) the data set at each run? Cheers. Fernando

Hi Rajagopal. It can be different possibilities. Check these. 1. User and password you are providing are not correct. 2. Connection to Oracle Business Intelligence Server Fails Without Trusted Certificate Authority 3. Resolving User Login Authentication Failure Issues Cheers. Fernando

Hello Rajagopal. No additional details on the error is displayed? Just that message "Failed to Save". Nothing like the example in picture when I tried to include an OBIEE server with a wrong url on my Oracle DV. Please have a look at the following link. 4 Steps to Oracle Data Visualization Diagnostics Support Cheers.…

Hi Ruqaya. As Gianni mentioned it will be good to download Oracle DV Desktop and start playing with it. There are examples on the Internet on HR Reports. Check this blog from Eric Van Vulpen as it may help. What is an HR Dashboard & HR Report? Examples, Visuals and a How-To Again get yourself immersed in the tool but most…

Hi Ruqaya. Sorry but I don't think you will be able to do much with the file you have as it looks like is already in a reporting format. You may need to prepare the data to a more tabular view before using in DV. Even before using Data Flows withing Oracle DV. If you want to improve you skills on Oracle DV check this.…

Hi Vikram. Me again. If you have access to Oracle Support have a look at "How To Connect OIC To A DBCS Instance (Doc ID 2391749.1)" the goal is described as "Using OIC instance to create integration between fusion cloud BI report to oracle dbcs cloud." Hope it helps. Best Regards. Fernando

Hi Vikram. Understood and sorry for the misunderstanding. Not sure if the below will help. https://blogs.oracle.com/fadevrel/direct-data-access-in-fusion-cloud-applications Also, this A-Team blog info gives some other info.…

Hi Vikram. Check this post as it may be useful JCS-SX and its requirement for DB Schema Service? Especially the comment from Narendra here. Hope it helps in any way. Cheers. Fernando

Hi Daniel. Do you mean Oracle Analytics Standard Edition? If it is OAC Standard the licence says 50 users for the DV Desktop, and I'm not sure about the limits on the Cloud. Check additional errors navigating to the Storage you defined while creating the instance and looking for a Zip file that will contain additional log…

Hi Ari. On the definition of your parameter in the report set the Option to ALL Values selection to pass NULL. Is the default behavior once you select the MENU option for your parameter (see image) No need to create the Union on the query. Hope this helps. Fernando

Hi Manav. I don't think is possible as once you add a data set to a Project you won't be able to add it again with a different name. The only way I see to achieve this is to create another data set based on the same table and make it work as a "Role Playing" data set. Basically you will make this new Role Playing Data Set…

Hi Carlos. I did one time this when I first deployed my dev to a new test environment. It was basically a copy of the file via OS command from one environment to another. I performed a backup of the original file on my test environment before doing that. Cheers. Fernando
-
Hi Carlos. All good on the connection. One last resource to migrate the data source is to find the datasource.xml file in your BI Publisher installation and migrate the file. Not the best way but it is a workaround. Always perform a backup before doing that. Cheers. Fernando

Hi Carlos. I don't have a stand alone version of BIP here to test but your datasource information should be inside a folder Admin in your catalog. Question. Your Dev and Prod environment share the same data sources? Cheers. Fernando
