This is planned for delivery in the March-April timeframe.

Hi Jenna, Apologies for not being more specific. Oracle Analytics provides the ability to connect to any remote platform/app that utilizes the Oracle BI toolset and repository (assuming such access is allowed by the App vendor or product team). These applications as a whole are supported via the Oracle Applications…

We are getting close to the initial testing of this feature and are pushing hard for the delivery of this feature. I hope to have a timeline soon, but we do not communicate a delivery timeframe before the feature passes a specific validation gate that allows us to have higher confidence in our communcation.

We are planning both the JDBC driver and BigQuery connector for the March-April timeframe.

Hi Cameron, There is a distinct difference between providing this capability based on an on-prem deployment (in our case, with OAS), vs. doing the same with a cloud service. It is true that competing products might demonstrate a simpler approach, but that is usually the case for on-prem solutions, as it is the case for…

Exposing hierarchies as hierarchies and navigating those as such in Pivot and Table visualization is currently scheduled for late Q1.

Hi Michal, I do not dismiss the request to have more frequent OAS cycles, but stating that an annual release creates the perception that Oracle is sidelining on-prem customers is a bit concerning to me. As some will recall, when Oracle Analytics (OBIEE at the time) was an on-prem only product, releases came every 2, 3, or…

Initial deliver of being able to expand/collapse pre-defined hierarchies (Subject Areas, Essbase, EPM) is currently scheduled for the end of Q1 2021 (OAC)

Current delivery schedule for this is end of Q1 2021 (OAC)

FYI, the phrases appear only for authors and admins, users who are consumers of content (e.g. BI Consumer) see a "Loading..." message, this is also true for embedded content. Wed did try to avoid anything that might be inappropriate in any language or culture and will promptly remove anything that will be reported as such.

We built a whole new filtering system when we did on-canvas filters, which include the fine-tune capability (as well as the Canvas/Project filters). Use as Filter is the last remaining one which is slightly more complex. However, we are planning to bring it into the fold under the new system.
-
Currently we are working on adding an option to change the default for the entire bar at once which will be the project default.
-
Jay, we are moving the 'Add Expression Filter' under the + to add a filter. I will check why the right-click menu was removed, but in general, I feel that the + button to add a filter is a better place for this functionality. This change is planned for Q1 (if all goes well).
-
You should already be able to do that, it is a bit more flexible and done via the property panel of the on-canvas filters.
-
The ability to schedule the refresh of datasets is planned for early 2021.
-
Yes, conditional formatting is a different project scheduled for 1H 2021 at this point.

If this is still the case, can you post a video? It works for me when I drag it. There is a small issue that if you go beyond the side of the existing pivot you don't see it until you release the mouse, but it still grows.

The SQL Server connector in OAC works with Azure SQL Server database. However, I change the idea to 'Planned' as I'm not sure if you refer to Azure SQL Server or Azure Synapse. When it comes to Synapse, the move from Azure SQL DW to Synapse some connectivity settings had changed which are not accounted for by the OAC SQL…

The way to do it today is by changing the project JSON, you just need to be careful when doing find and replace on the file as any formatting issues will be hard to troubleshoot (in short, backup your project before doing that).
