Have you tried the new filter capabilities (5.7 and up) that provide control as to which viz is impacted but which filter?

Most changes were implemented with 5.8 - Indication of the release number on the notification - indication of the specific instance on the notification - link to the upcoming release content (what's new)

1) Ability to arrange visuals as "cards" You can create your dashboard in any layout you want, we are not going to change the way that Canvases are authored to address one single use case 2) Allows user to filter data or modify existing filters Available with on-canvas filters 3) Visuals are dynamic so sizing and layout…

The basic idea here can be implemented using an expression filter (Month = Current Month), and other items were addressed with the on-canvas filters (mandatory and single-select). There are a lot of other valid ideas on the thread, but those will need to be ideas by themselves.

The timeout limit increased in 5.8 for direct connections (Oracle databases), RDG support planned for early next year (RDG connections to Oracle DB still limited to 10 min at this time). Note that the system will still go down to 10 min when there is a large number of concurrent long-running requests as a safety measure.

Are your datasets joined together or not? If they are joined, you should be able to join based on one of the time dimensions and hide the others. This is assuming that they share the same content (or that at least one of them is a superset)

In addition to the semantic modeler project, we are talking to the data catalog team to explore more advanced lineage reporting. Changing the status, will update once we have detailed plans.

The 'Funny Messages' will show only for authors, the customers will see the basic 'Loading' message. Currently, we will not offer custom messages, we are looking at other options for the use case Kumaran suggested.

Thanks for the feedback, we will look into improving it.

EPM Cloud is not a regular data set, it is more similar to a subject area as it represents a model and not a query. Having said that, similar to the way that you can define a dataset based on a slice of the subject area and run data flows against, we are looking at doing something similar for EPM.

There is no ability to export a full dashboard to a CSV because the dashboard can contain multiple visualizations from various datasets. However, if you will select a viz first and then try to export, you will see the CSV option.
-
We will be adding an ability to export to an Excel format as well (mainly important to maintain pivot layout), but there is a different idea in the lab about it, you can go ahead and vote if you find it useful.

This is now a committed feature, we will communicate a schedule once it is ready to go.

Currently joining EPM with other datasets is only possible when the EPM App is mapped into a subject area (blending of subject areas with other datasets is possible today). The ability to do that with the DV connector is WIP.

The project might include multiple datasets, some of them might be live with billions of rows or a subject area with dozens of tables. The concept of exporting a project to CSV is very clear in that sense. In addition, it is not necessarily true that the author's intent was to allow the user unrestricted access to all…

True, Explain is processed as the server level and uses the base dataset. The auto-generated data parts are not part of the actual dataset. In order to run explain on a date part, go to Prepare, right-click on the date column, and choose Extract. Once you apply the script it will become part of the base dataset and you…

Hi Bhavin, We will be able to share a timeline once it is scheduled. Regards, Gabby
