We recognize the limitations of the current prebuilt Licensed Roles and are evaluating the feasibility of making Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) fine-grained permissions available directly within Fusion Data Intelligence (FDI). This would provide greater flexibility and more granular control over user access. In the meantime,…
-
Some reasons to keep seperate prebuilt and custom database objects: Security - More granular control over user permissions and access, reducing the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive data. Separation - Easier to manage and organize external data without interfering with the default OAX_USER schema. Easier Maintenance…

Another suggestion is to use Semantic Model Extensions to create a custom Subject Area (based on an existing one) and rename the fields as needed.
-
We'll review this for consideration in a future release.

This has now been resolved.

Tagging is not currently on the roadmap. However, we do offer an multi-development LA feature called “Sync With Main Sandbox.” This can be enabled in your test or development instances by submitting an SR. Please note that once this feature is enabled, it cannot be disabled. We are targeting GA for release 26.R3.

You can clear the cache from the OAC Console under Sessions and Query Logs. Let me know if you’re trying to accomplish something else.
-
This feature will be available when OAC is upgraded to January 2026.

You may be seeing that reference on the Oracle AI Data Platform Product Roadmap, rather than the Oracle Fusion AI Data Platform Product Roadmap.

We have no new information regarding this feature to share right now.

Enhancing Semantic Model validation is currently on our roadmap, with updates scheduled to roll out in the 26.R2 release this May 2026.

You could try using the 'VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.USERID)' in an expression filter against a custom table containing the security definitions. https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E23943_01/bi.1111/e10540/variables.htm

@User_UJUA7 Hi Mahesh, there are a lot of improvements with Sandbox framework vs Branch. One current limitation is there is no tagging of customizations (like in branch). That said, you will see a lot of Sandbox improvements coming in 24.R4 in December 2025.
-
For Sandbox framework, the ability to bundle replace security will be available in the up and coming release. This functionality will not be available for Branch framework.
-
In the up and coming release the Sandbox framework will have an option for manual execution of apply system extensions (to delay the System Steps) until you are ready to apply them. This will not be available for Branch framework.
-
We are adding functionality that allows for security replace, which may help in addressing specific issues.
-
Planning is underway for an enhanced data lineage capability.
