I agree completely! Huge gap! I even tried exporting back to RPD format in order to do a batch of renames in the logical layer and was horribly dismayed to find out that the WSM exported to RPD unchecks the "use logical name" checkbox on ALL presentation fields, making it impossible to even use this as a workaround.
