OK I figured it out, it was pretty simple Log into console go to Security Realms->myrealm->Migration-> and there are two tabs, one for export, one for import. The directories do have to be created. I used the impdir and workdir that I had created for importing/exporting BAR files.

Thanks, where would I find the WLST scripts?
-
That did it! Thanks Venkat. If you don't mind I will mark Joel's answer as the right one.
-
yes.. I can log in as a missing user. I added a user after this issue, using the same admin account and I still could not see the user.
-
Yes they can all log in and if I try to add a userid that exists, I get a message stating that the user exists.
-
you could use the archive and unarchive feature from the OBIEE Web interface, I have been using that quite a bit.

Vpandura, please mark Christian's answer as "correct answer" (click the green star) and that will close the topic.

Yes the bi_server1 is in ADMIN state when restarting the system. The bi_server1.log has the following information: Failed to initialize the application "bi-security-login" due to error weblogic.management.DeploymentException: javax.security.auth.login.FailedLoginException: [Security:090938]Authentication failure: The…

this is in a different environment. However, other smaller reports were running.
-
Christian, There was nothing in the log i.e nothing written in for the past few days and then when I tried rebooting the whole system, the bi_server1 went into admin state (I started a different discussion about that)

Thanks for your reply. The timeouts have not been changed anywhere. Which logs should I take a look at? (that was what I was wondering with the "debug" part of the question) The OS is Redhat Linux The browser is IE 11

Thanks Venkat, that worked. We had to install the patch and then were able to modify the script.

Carsten, Can you access either Weblogic enterprise manager . (normally <host>:<port>/em)? or Weblogic Server Administration Console (Normally <host>:port/console) ?
-
Thanks Thomas, How do I do that (check for firewall rules)?
-
yes.. those are gone.
-
The (shared Linux) server went down just before that. Also Gianni, I am a little confused now. I saw group references in weblogic console (please see screen print and I did have BI Consumer, etc) though in EM and in the client administrator I see roles.
-
I have also lost access to the standard groups.. BI Content Author, Bi Consumer, Administration, etc. I can view them on the web client administration (from analytics) but not in console. Khalid

it seems to be spread out across the board because I did not notice where things speed up and then slow down. I could paste my log or relevant portions if you wish.
-
I am dealing with other issues at this point and will get back to this in a couple of days.
-
I haven't been able to resolve it yet. Was working on other issues. If I do come up with a resolution, I will paste it here.
