this is actually not my idea originally, it comes from another user. yes; i use OAC only. i wanted to get oracle's attention bu adding a comment. a while ago i already had asked for this functionality and had created an idea of my own, but without success. regarding API, oracles claims it is possible. i started trying with…

hello @Michal Zima and thank you for this conversation!! in oac i do not know if i can open a command window and run a .sh script. i connect to a "website" via a browser. i know there is a way to click on a link and visit a webpage that simulates a linux cmd window but i have never explored that in deep since anyway would…

please include OAC. please implement an EASY automation; without requiring API programming or skills that a usual OAC administrator would have.

@Michal Zima , thanks. i find myself questioning WHY /such and such/ functionality is available in Classic but not in DV. a while ago, i had the opportunity to talk with someone at oracle and i told him my concern, emphasizing that i trued to "sell" DV to my users but all the time they would decide stating in Classic ,…

@Anis Benromdhane Hello Anis, Until Oracle implements your request, consider this work around... on the "Criteria" tab, add a new column to the analysis. Any "string" column, it does not matter, we are going to change it soon. Edit the Formula for the column click the "custom headings" checkbox Change the Column Heading…

@Dave Kekish Welcome. If they cannot get it to work, maybe Oracle Support would help them set it up. And if all that failed, and they would like us to collaborate on that, feel free to contact me. we can have fun : ) Cheers, MF

@Dave Kekish I believe that functionality is already there actually. something related to "Externalize" on the RPD client admin tool. HTH Marcelo
-
Hello @Anis Benromdhane Not sure if that is what you want to accomplish but maybe you could check this feature OAC Classic Catalog -> Edit Agent -> Recipients Tab -> checkbox "Get Recipients from the Analysis Used in the Agent Condition" HTH, Marcelo

@otavio.teixeira De nada : )

@otavio.teixeira Hello Otavio, Actually, Oracle already implemented this for OAC. You will find it at Console => System Settings => Other => "Hide Loading Messages" (on/off) HTH, Marcelo Finkielsztein

Hello @Alan Lee - Oracle-Oracle , Since we transitioned from OBIEE to OAC, we have never been able to open the catalog online using runcat. We get this error message: --------------------------------- HTTP transport error: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building…

In fact, I would appreciate a cross-reference for all objects! All the way from Classic RPD to classic catalog, and for DV all the way from data/console connection to workbooks. This X-Ref would include ALL involved objects: included and not limited to physical databases, connection pools, tables, columns, indexes,…
-
Reminder: people leave the company. what happens when an author leaves? can another author "inherit" the object for future modifications, maintenance, etc.?

Update: a VERY simple workbook worked fine. Not sure why the my 1st attempt cannot be exported.

This is the error message I am getting when I try to export to Excel:
