Repeating .. Implement a snapshot automation that is not harder to achieve than scheduling an agent (iBot). Oracle flagged other attempts at this idea as "Delivered". Arguably, there seems to be a way to automate snapshots. From what I remember, there is at least two authentication methods available. a) exposes a password…

Agree this should be possible without using workarounds. While we wait for Oracle, this is the work around i have used. Edit the properties of the column I need to hide. set [display header] from [Auto] to [Custom] edit each item (header font, data font, subtotal font) to "Arial ", size=1, color=white, background white.…

PLEASE! May I have feedback about this? Dear Community members, I will appreciate if you let me know how you are handling this o your Classic dashboards. TIA, Marcelo Finkielsztein

Hello. It seems to be a case where you would use the Hierarchy functionality, built-in in OAC. Can these help? "Create and Manage Dimensions with Parent-Child Hierarchies" "Create and Manage Dimensions with Level-Based Hierarchies" HTH, Marcelo

@Jerry Ursetti Thank you Jerry. Only FYI, i submitted an "idea" to fix this. (( Since your entry is not "expressed in the form of an idea", Oracle will not consider fixing it )) Kind regards, Marcelo

Same for the Formula Editor in the Analysis designer for OAC "Classic Home" !

@Adam Bloom-Oracle The sytem setting is not the solution to the request. we need to be able tp specify email addreses for To:, Cc:, and Bcc: fields on each agent.

May i have some feedback about this idea? I am still trying to find a suitable way to improve this behaviour. So far, all work-arounds i have found have problems.

I would like to see this happen: * ability to export the RPD and Catalog metadata as tables in an Oracle schema. * (which imples...) ability to use OAC to report on the RPD & Catalog metadata. * The metadata should include ALL the information used to create the RPD and all the Catalog objects, both DV and classic. *…

@Adrian Nedelcu-Oracle , Hi. I suspect I do not understand your idea. a) I do not know what "SI ANSWERS" is. b) in OAC DV, we can write a an expression filter like the following ("Country" is a column in the RPD or in a dataset): Country IN ('USA', 'Canada', Ukraine') HTH, Marcelo

Hello Everyone, agree it is a nice-to-have feature. actually, i would like to see ALL the classic functionality implemented in DV. Meanwhile (until oracle delivers a solution), suggestion: create a calculated column using a Rank() function on the sort-key. The rank will give you a 1,2,3,... series. then order the table by…

@Alan Lee - Oracle-Oracle Hello Alan, Any idea when we will be able to schedule/automate an OAC snapshot? A few specs: * ability to schedule taking a snapshot * and/or ability to run a snapshot via a CLI command WITHOUT EXPOSING PASSWORDS IN PLAIN TEXT. * ability to achieve the above WITHOUT requiring programming skills or…

Thank you. I look forward to that. Forza, Daniele! : )

Hello Daniele, I will not be able to help you achieve OAuth authentication. If anyone else here can provide guidance on how to accomplish OAuth, i will really appreciate it! --- Not long ago, I tried to understand how to obtain an access token programmatically, (to improve my authentication method), following the same…

Hello @Michal Zima , Hope you are doing well. This is only to confirm (at least one of) the methods you mention do seem to work in OAC. I am using the "iBot" service/executeIBotNow method (3.4.3 on that documentation) to launch Agents when our nightly ETL process has finished refreshing our data warehouse. Kind regards,…

True for *Table* visualization, but if I choose a Bar graph, then the Display Header cannot be renamed. Since the original post mentions "in Table visual", i suppose i will need to start a new idea for that. Regards.

To Oracle, Please consider the above idea implicitly includes the ability to reuse calculations on other workbooks. Thanks, Marcelo Finkielsztein
