Generally in Data Visualization the concept of hierarchical columns (known from OBIEE metadata) and allowing asymetral drilling is completelly missing. Definitelly this will provide great value in terms of trustfulness of BI content (data governance must feature) and something , which should be incorporated long time ago (for OBIEE).

Definitelly the current functionality (as in OBIEE 12c), which allows you to dynamically (via Init Block) to set PORTALPATH variable (different values for logged user based on his login) should be in place also in Oracle Analytics Server (or in OAC as well)

This feature is really a must when you want to convince business users to go for Oracle Data Visualization instead of Tableau/Qlick. Data storage for "external" data sets in DV is file system (in on-premise), which is pretty slow.

100 % agree with this idea. Oracle Analytics dev team should concentrate not only on improving/extending Data Visualization part, but also maintain and extend functonality/usablity of "good old" BI Dashboards/Answers (original OBIEE components). This is very disarable feature - users odnt want to filter all visuals , but just the selected one.

100 % agree with Tony. Oracle Analytics dev team should concentrate only on imrpoving Data Visualization part, but also maintain and extend functonality/usablity of "good old" BI Dashboards/Answers. All points written by Tony are completelly relevant .
