There is evidently a bug in BICS. If you create a data model pointing to Schema as Service, then re-point the DM to DbaaS, any subsequent analyses you do against that DM still pulls data from schema. An oracle support rep will log a bug.

I know about remote data connector. My question was about connecting BICS to NON-ORACLE database running in cloud such as on AWS or Azure. With RDC i know you can connect BICS to a non-oracle db that is on-premises.
