For your version you might also want to check OBIEE 11g Write Back Error, Could not find privilege (Doc ID 2075391.1) OBIEE 11g:How To Configure Write Back In OBIEE 11g In Analysis and Dashboard? (Doc ID 1435698.1) Other than that I cannot find any applicable patches to your version so it really is just a case of double…

Double check your config against => Oracle BI Practice: OBIEE 11g Configure Writeback

On your last point with the table, are you broadly following; - Edit Table Properties view -> writeback & check 'Enable Write Back' & mention Template Name as mentioned in writeback file ( WebMessage name="WriteBack_Template_Name" ). Also, from memory I found just leaving a space if I did not want either insert or update…

On the latter, like this; - And by OBIEE user I mean the user your OBIEE services run as...

And the name for the template is letter and case perfect (Linux back end?) and the 'OBIEE' user has sufficient rights to it on the server?
-
Wow, two writebacks in one day. First, do yourself a favour and use Apex instead, write back is very limited.... Second, if you ignore first, have you followed; - https://gerardnico.com/dat/obiee/obips/write_back Did you bounce the presentation service? Are you sure the fields match to the insert / update statements?

Hi, is active directory part of your security model? If so double check the roles applied via a user by using the variables in a OBIEE report to explicitly view same. Also, you do not say your version, but have you regenerated GUIDs recently?…

Hi, if we have solved your issue can you close your question and / or mark helpful / answered as you see fit for the benefit of other users. thanks, Robert.

Did you try cancelling the original and trying over with an entirely new one? Have you tested for yourself that you do now have the html rights described, by creating and saving an analysis with html content?

As previously discussed on these boards ideally I would fix it by using Apex instead of writeback for that purpose for so many reasons... try it, it is that rare combination of free, easy to use and rapid to develop with. But on your specific issue what browser are you using and have you tried an alternative to eliminate…

You might want to set up usage tracking, that will give you a meaningful measure of what reports are being run on a regular basis and of those reports what their runtimes are. The combination of the two factors will provide a useful starting point to ascertain which regularly used reports could potentially yield the…

Hi, all of your logical table sources FACT => Dimension should have a content level set, typically at the lowest level of the dimension hierarchy. To find this open up the folder under the business model table and click on it to see the underlying logical table source, the content level is therein. Each dimensions physical…

Hi, that would say to me that your column Admissions.Admission hospitalisation classique (sum) is not mapped for all of its sources, you need to open the definition for that column and ensure that it has underlying physical or logical mappings for all its sources. Hope this makes sense, happy to give further clarification…

Thanks, I was on a project where the reports from OBIEE took hours to run, but I left it before we got to the bottom of where the pain point was, and on the same data sets Smart View was bringing data back in seconds, ASO or BSO.
-
Thanks for the workaround, as you say better than nothing. Bet those are a pain to maintain!!! Btw - compared to smart view how do you find performance?

See; - https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E14571_01/bi.1111/e10540/devenvironment.htm#BIEMG131 https://gerardnico.com/dat/obiee/obis/multiuser_environment I think your bigger problem is that you are investing in a version of OBIEE that has gone past its best before date...

The hierarchy is flattened as you say but that would not prevent your users from selecting parents and they would work in the normal way with descendants functionality. Others may have had a different experience, but the thing that I found most onerous with Essbase modelling in OBIEE was the need to filter on all…
