It will be really helpful if we get details on the folder access. Especially while migrating reports/folders from lower instances where many users/groups have full control, it will be easy to validate/update required permission setup in Production.

Work Around for searching Subject Area names in OTBI (OBIEE) Application version. You can perform a browser search to select the Subject Area you are looking for, see attached screen shot.

Agreed. Its a pain, while creating OTBI Analysis/Reports directly on the OTBI (OBIEE) version application link. However this is feasible and we can search Subject Area in the "BI Composer" window in Fusion Home page, Home Page --> Tools --> Reports and Analytics --> Create --> Analysis. Oracle should add this feature to…

Agreed, output should be in the sequence of what we are adding in the data model query, it becomes tough while we have more number of columns. Data Model being the only option to query Fusion Tables, Oracle should prioritize this this request and provide a better way to review the results. This is also related to one of…

Agreed, we need Error metrics for creating OTBI Order Management reports based on different order status. Error metrics is one of the critical attribute.
-
Yes you may need to create a report for that, currently there is no option like SQL server client for validating/querying Oracle Fusion tables/data. We have OTBI Direct SQL option (https://cloudcustomerconnect.oracle.com/posts/2624d2cb7e), but this will be discontinued by Oracle by end of this year. So Oracle has to…

I have already created a SR for this issue and a Bug has also been created by Oracle for the same. Bug 29312131 : BICS - REL13 19A - DIRECT DATABASE QUERY REMOVED FROM ADMIN USER

Hi Ashish, Were you able to create BI Publisher Datamodel/Report using the files in UCM? Let me know if there are any documents for the same. We want to source some external data for our Fusion BI Publisher reports, want to check if the files can be uploaded/refreshed in UCM using FBDI that can act as a source for Fusion…

Hi Joe, I just quickly tested this with a prompt that fetch data from a List of Values field and it did work, Create a List of value for the column against which you are trying to add this prompt, then create a prompt and associate the List of values you created for the same. Instead of directly entering the values on the…

We use data parameters and is working fine, try to define the Data model - Parameter 'Data Type' for 'order date' as 'Date'. You may get a calendar option in report.

Hi I have seen this error while renaming the folder name or while migrating reports to a different path in another environment. I think we get this error because the report is pointing to the old data model path, opening the report and pointing it to right data model path resolves the issue. I don't see any workaround…
