If column is in datatype datetime then that should work. I would suggest check the datatype.

Looks like what you shared is Workflow log! Session log file might help to address the issue. FYI: Check the source and target connection settings in session properties.

What module you are using? Is your source system also got upgraded or you just want to go with DAC software upgrade irrespective of App modules?

If you dont want to run full load again then you may run that particular table run as full load.

No. You may give a try from 796 to 11g or 796 to 10g to 11g install 11g and try to connect 796 rep if that go by upgrade then its good you no need to go with 10g!

I think 7 to 10g to 11g. Upgrade happens during DAC client connecting to DAC repository.
