'Error: Data Model does not contain sample data. Please edit Data Model and save with sample data.' In your data model for the BIP Report go to the Data tab and run a sample set of rows ... Click the Save as Sample Data button, then save the data model... Verify the model has sample data:

Remove the 'All' from the default for both parameters ... it may be you have an extra space or something ...

Did you actually look at the documentation on how to start the Admin Server (WLS) in windows? the Managed Server (EM) in Windows? or are you expecting to be handed a pile of 'pointy-clicky' icons? The latter isn't going to happen ... OBIA (Apps is different) ... "Oracle BI Applications requires the BI and ODI Managed…

Too many fact tables? I doubt it ... a fact star (singe fact table with dimensions) answers a specific question or set of related questions about the business. Given that foundation - what I hear is "the business asks too many questions" when I hear "too many fact tables". Having solved this exact issue more than once for…

I know what you want (end result) ... I don't know what you have done. I'll assume nothing is done ... You can integrate EBS security into OBIA (it's documented by Oracle how to do it) OR you can build your own using various combinations of LDAP/WLS/EM/RPD/Catalog/DB to achieve what you want. The second option gives you…

It is a CLIENT tool ... you connect to your SERVER within the tool. If you want the CLIENT tool on the desktop of the SERVER, then you have to open the browser on the SERVER and download the CLIENT tool to the SERVER and install there ... this defeats the purpose of the CLIENT/SERVER aspect of these tools. Also, you then…

How have you set up your security? ... currently, as asked, your question is impossible to answer.

Custom FACT table (it's really a snapshot) ... and/or custom dimension (if your GL Account dim isn't cutting it) to achieve this
-
Having had to do this at multiple clients ... I would suggest you build a custom physical structure to hold the data in that format - then just present it via OBIEE. You will spin your wheels a lot more trying to rig the presentation/logical layers to do it ...
-
What have you done to investigate the issue? What are the criteria differences between the reports?

"what is the use of installing OBIEE with out RPD access?" None ... having said that - there's no point in an un-certified setup as well. You are better off going with a MUD setup and then your local admin tool can be certified and you'll not have that issue - then you can deploy your master RPD to the server from time to…

Not sure where you've gone wrong, but it is really easy to go wrong ... did you cover each step correctly and in order from the install manual? https://docs.oracle.com/cd/E53672_01/doc.111191/e53673/title.htm

how are you accessing the admin tool? * installed on server and you Remote into server and run locally? * developer VPN into network, tries to open RPD from server across VPN? <-- this is a very slow way to do it; gives results like you describe * MUD environment and developer checks out RPD from shared drive? * some other…

if you can clone your DEV do so, so you can get a true feel for the outcome ... and you can wack and start again if it doesn't go as planned!

Your company catalog residing in the RPD home should be merged with your OBI Apps catalog and then your Enterprise Manager configuration should be set to point to the default/correct home for the Web Catalog. Then restart your services. I recommend doing this on a copy of one of your development machines' web catalogs to…
