Insight (OBIEE) Tips: Creating Conditions

Are you are a Marketing Manager who needs to deliver a monthly budget update to his direct reports, when a campaign’s cost exceeds the budgeted cost?
Then you might want to create a condition that is based on an analysis returning campaigns that exceed the budget and add it to an agent whose delivery content is the monthly budget update.
When the condition evaluates to true, the agent triggers the delivery of the monthly budget update. Isn’t that easy like a piece of cake?
What are conditions?
They are objects in Insight that return a single Boolean value based on an evaluation of the row count of an analysis and it consists of:
- An analysis
- A row count
- An operator to apply to the row count
Why do we use them?
They help you determine whether:
- Agents deliver their content and execute their actions
- Actions links are displayed in dashboard pages
- Sections and their content are displayed in dashboard pages
Are you ready to create your own conditions? Discover the steps in the Oracle Eloqua Help Center and let us know in the comments section how you will use them.
