Eloqua's Move to OCI: SFTP Integrations and Action Required - POD 1, 2, 3, 4

What's changing?
Related to Eloqua’s Move to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), if you are leveraging SFTP for your integrations you will need to update your SFTP Server’s Allowlist configuration prior to the maintenance window scheduled for the Move to OCI. Failing to do so prior January 6, 2023 will cause your SFTP integration to fail.
REQUIRED ACTION
If applicable, you will need to work with your IT Team to make these changes no later than January 6, 2023:
- POD 1 and 2: Please work with your IT Team to add “192.29.64.187” to be allowed Inbound. This will ensure that Eloqua’s new public IP address for OCI is able to access and retrieve data from your SFTP integration. This change can be made anytime but must be completed no later than January 6, 2023. [IMPORTANT: The existing IP "209.167.231.5" should not be removed until after the 23B Release (May 5, 2023)]
- POD 3 and 4: Please work with your IT Team to add "147.154.50.10" to be allowed Inbound. This will ensure that Eloqua’s new public IP address for OCI is able to access and retrieve data from your SFTP integration. This change can be made anytime but must be completed no later than January 6, 2023. [IMPORTANT: The existing IP "142.0.160.1" should not be removed until after the 23A Release (Feb 17, 2023)]

Does this only need to occur if we have IP - Allowlisting enabled, correct? If it is disabled, no new actions need to occur?
-
That's correct, @ramoher - only applies if you're using Allow Lists within your organization!

Hello @JodyMooney-Oracle
Just to confirm for those clients on PODS 6, 7 or 8 who may read the above, have they already made the move to OCI? I recall details around April 2022 regarding the move, is that correct?
Side note - is it possible to obtain confirmation of the physical country all Eloqua PODS are located in, please?
Cheers
Derek

That's right, Derek. No action for POD 6, 7, or 8. Only those that still need to move to OCI (1-4).
And in terms of country locations of our data centres, you'll find that info in the chart on this page, and here's a screen of it for quick reference: 😎

So If see this in my instance, no action is needed?
IP Allowlisting - Disabled
-
The bigger question is are you using SFTP for data export/import - if you are - you should speak with your IT team about adding the new IP to your allowlist if required. Please contact Oracle Support if you're still unsure if this applies to you! They can talk through it with you.

I am seeing some conflicting information for this update. On the topliners community it is mentioned that only people that are using Allowlists will be affected. On the general release page
https://app.customers.eloqua.com/e/es?s=2413&e=52706&elqTrackId=2c0acba03a3a486a9b434c1bd80478ee&elq=7100955ddec04ea48af13283be444aaa&elqaid=4201&elqat=1 it says "if you leverage an SFTP integration".
We use SFTP for Auto Syncs but we do not use allowlists. Could someone please confirm if this update will affect our instance?

If your organization does not have the pre-existing SFTP IP in your allowlist, then you do not need to make any changes prior to Jan 6, 2023.
