Can I configure the wait step to only count business days?
Is there a way to configure the wait step to only count business days and not weekends? or is there another element in the campaign canvas that can do that for me?

The wait step will not allow you to select week/weekend days. The Date App doesn't allow filters based on week/weekend either.
I think the only helpful native feature is the Email Scheduling one, where you can select to send the email on weekdays.
