Why doesn't a contact appear when I search for their email address?

I created a new contact and verified that it would come up when I searched by its email address. Then I uploaded custom object records that included a record with that contact's email. When I went back to Audience > Contacts and searched for the email address, the contact no longer appears. Can someone explain where it went and how I access it again?

It's possible that the contact has been hidden due to Contact Level Security (CLS) settings in your Eloqua instance. CLS allows users to control which contacts are visible to other Eloqua users based on specific criteria. Can you validate if CLS was implemented in your Eloqua instance?

That was it! The contacts were getting automatically labeled and put in a contact group that I didn't have access to. Thanks for your help.
