Adjustments loaded to Front-loaded Absence plans are not reflected in the balance
Summary
Adjustments loaded to Front-loaded Plans are not reflected in the balanceContent
On a monthly basis, we load adjustments from a non-Oracle time keeping system to adjust balances in the accrual plan using File Based Loader. The accrual is front-loaded on 1/1 or as of the date of hire for new employees. We are finding that the accrual balance is not recalculated after the adjustment is loaded. The only way to have the mass loaded adjustment recognized in the balance is to run the accrual for each employee individually--this defeats the purpose of mass loading the adjustments.
Example, if an adjustment is effective on 9/5/2016 and the last accrual was on 1/1/2016, we need to run the accrual program for each month up to 10/1 before the adjustment is captured in the recalculated balance. This doesn't work out well since hires will have a different balance calculation date than employees that accrued time on 1/1. Then, if an employee does not have an adjustment inan earlier month and the accrual is run for them, their balance calculation date is different from everyone else.
