Tracking equity awards in Fusion

Looking for a best practice on utilizing "Award Compensation" functionality to track equity in FusionContent
Some folks in HR, Finance and Accounting have expressed an interest in tracking grants, options, vesting dates and gains/losses in Fusion. We utilize a third party system where all of this information is managing. However, some are thinking that if we have the data in Fusion, we can marry it with employment info for reporting purposes.
I'm curious if anyone has utilized Fusion in this way. It would most likely involve using the "Award Compensation" feature in "Manage Compensation", so I'm curious if anyone can share their experiences.
