Absence Request not Showing on Time Card

Summary

We have set up an absence plan but after an employee requests the absence through absence management it is not automatically showing when they create a timecard.

Content

We created a new absence plan and I added the absence type to be displayed on the timecard through the Manage Time Entry Layout Components but it does not seem to be working as I would have expected.  I would expect that once the absence is created through absence management and I create a timecard that they absence would be there.  It does show up for all of our other absence plans.  Any suggestions on where to look in order to resolve this issue?
