R13 N Box display to add pictures instead of stick figures

We understood that release 13 was going to change the display of the N box to add pictures in place of the stick figures.  We just set up our R13 instance and are currently testing.  We do not see the employee's pictures on the N box.  Is this a configuration setting we are missing or is it a certain release of 13?
