How to Use Time Category in Time Calculation formula?

Hi All,

We want to use a time calculation formula for certain time categories, depending on the time category of the reported hours we need to have different output (1 reported time category goes to compensatory absence plan, the other to a payroll element).  Since the basic features of the formula behind both are the same We tried creating 1 formula and use it in 2 templates:

template 1 would use time category 1 as parameter and would output to the compensatory absence plan => this template is used in rule 1

template 2 would use time category 2 as parameter and would output to the payroll element.=> this template is used in rule 2
