Leave balances not recalculating if the holday calendar created if leave already applied

If we are creating the Holiday Calendar and if some employees already applied the leave on the same date, then after creating holiday calendar system is not recalculating the leaves balances based on the holiday leaves.

For example some employees applied and approved leave on 1 September  and now we are defining holiday calendar for this date, but system will bot recalculate leave balances.

Is this standard system behavior.
