Removal of 'Manage Bank Accounts' & 'View Cumulative Mileage'

On the Travel and Expense page when you click on the task bar you see the following:

• Create Expense Items in Spreadsheet
• Manage Bank Accounts
• Manage Delegates
• View Cumulative Mileage

Our Business would like to remove 'Manage Bank Accounts' & 'View Cumulative Mileage'

I can find some documentation on how but I don't understand.  We have a custom Employee Role, which all employees have access.  When I try to delete the 'Payee Back Account Manage Custom' in Role Hierarchy I get a warning 'You can remove only roles inherited by the current role'
