Looking for a way to send feedback reminders for employee or manager initiated feedback request

Has anyone found a way (or have a requirement) to send reminders for feedback requests initiated but not yet responded to? 

We have a need to do this, but not on a schedule - ideally the reminder would be initiated by the requester. I believe I could accomplish this via a BI alert or through BIP bursting but we don't want to enforce the  reminders.

If there is nothing like this available or coming, I will raise in Idea Lab.
