Manager final ratings not visible to employees?

Summary

We need employees to be able to view managers final ratings in Performance Documents

In Overall Summary, in a performance document, both employee and manager give a final rating and comments  

As it stands, once the manager shares and releases the document, the employee can then see the final comments the manager has made, but cannot see their final rating.

Is this normal for everyone?   We need the document to be transparent and allow the employee to view the rating the manager has given them.
