Cannot enter the end date when adding elements to employees

Hello experts,

when adding elements to employees, I have noticed that I cannot define the element end date both in case of recurring and not recurring elements. Is there a way to edit the element end date?

What the field Periodicity is it for if the end date cannot be entered?
