How to make a compensation plan column read-only after a specific date

Hello experts,

we manage in compensation plan a column which initially should be editable and after a certain date should be read-only.

I know that one possible solution is by manually changing column setup; but is there a way to manage it in a different way, as for example by Fast Formula or Dynamic columns?
