Unable to access edit button in Employment

I'm trying to click the edit button in assignment under employment record of user in production, its showing grayed out, But when i try to check in test environment edit button  is accessible. Please note that im using same user in test and prod to check the employment issue. Please see attached file file of sample screenshot in production environment.
