Howdy,
I have setup a salary basis with components, the components are used to calculate a total salary amount, e.g. salary, living costs, inclusive pension (e.g. superannuation amount)... Component A ($40,000) + Component B ($10,000) = Total Remuneration ($50,000), you get the drill.
When adjusting or proposing the employee's salary we would be providing adjustments to component A or B (+/- $ or %).
We send these adjustments for each component downstream to our third party payroll provider for each component.
This works great until we hit an FTE or Hours Change... when proposing a new salary, salary has already calculated the pro-rated amount based upon hours work, and the component adjustment fields are defaulted to 0 (as if an adjustment hadn't occurred at the component level, rather back at the total remuneration amount).
