Backdated time cards transferring and not processing
Summary
Time entries do not process/pay where workers enter backdated time into a period in which they have never been processed previouslyContent
Our casual staff claim payment for their work by submitting time cards.
We are seeing high instances of time cards being transferred successfully, but then not processed, meaning the employee does not get paid for this time.
In analysing this problem we have found that one of the causes is as follows. Dates, hours, etc. are provided as illustrative examples, this issue occurring every month:
- Employee is hired either with a backdated hire date, or after the cut of date for submission of time cards in the month, or after the payroll has been run e.g. Hired to start work on Thursday 29th October, which is pay day in the organisation, so the Payroll for October has already been run.
