Is there anyway we can enable similar checkbox available for day based absences for hours based absences?

We have a requirement for configuring annual leave which has UOM as hours so they requirement is to enable a similar checkbox for raising half day leaves for days based absences.Has anyone worked on this and can you share your solution?
