Content (required): We are trying to setup a India salary basis using simple components, but we are having an issue. We need to know if a certain component in the simple components can be defaulted to zero in a manger self service action.

We have a component called Special Allowance and it is calculated manually. The calculation is Base Salary minus Total Gross and then that amount needs to entered into the new amount field for the Special Allowance component. However it looks like the previous amount for Special Allowance is carried forward to the new amount field which requires more work for the manager and can result in mistakes and the salary not being correct in HCM.
