Miscellaneous Receipts Don't Show Up On Customer Account

We receive miscellaneous payments from customers with no corresponding invoice. Rather than create a Standard Receipt AND an invoice for said customer (we sometimes receive 100's each month), we're seeking a solution that doesn't require the creation of an invoice. The problem is that if we create a Miscellaneous Receipt (this means no invoice is required) then we never actually see the receipt on the customer's account. So in order to have the receipt show up on the customer account, we have to create a Standard Receipt; but using a Standard Receipt means that it will stay on the Aging
