Absence types should not visible after resignation is initiated but not approved yet by the approver

Hello Experts, As per the client requirement-Absence types should not be visible in the absence type dropdown after resignation is initiated but not approved yet by the approvers.

Could any one confirm is this possible. If possible please suggest how to achieve this.
