what is the impact of changing the year period end date from 30-JUN-2024 to 31-DEC-2023 in benefits

We are changing from Fiscal to calendar year and so we need to use the same program to maintain history. What will be the impact of changing the fiscal period end date from  30-JUN-2024 to 31-DEC-2023 so that we can add 01-JAN-2024 year period to the program.
