Plan calculation based on Projected End date or Expected Termination Date and plan should be closed.

Summary:

Plan normally closed based on the Termination date. But we do have fields such as Expected Termination date or Projected End date at employment level which can be used for contract basis employee or employees moving to another country on short term assignment. If the plan is front loaded the balances will be given in Full to such employees but if the Plan is closed based on this Projected End date field then it will be helpful. The balance will be prorated accordingly.
