Set Custom Status as Split Line Status

Summary:

We are using a custom status named "WMS Interfaced" in our orchestration process Shipment task. When the shipment lines are interfaced to WMS, we are changing the sales order line status to "WMS Interfaced". In case there is a partial quantities shipped from WMS and it got interfaced to Inventory Management. The shipment line gets splitted, which results in splitting of OM line as well. However when the line gets splitted in OM, the shipped quantity will have status changed to Shipped, and the line having unshipped quantity is having status "Awaiting Shipping".

We wanted to have the line with unshipped quantity set to "Shipment Assigned" when the line gets splitted. Any possible solution around this?
