Transfer data to Core HR Promotion from Hourly to Salaried

Summary:

We are trying to promote an employee who is currently an Hourly Employee to a job that is paid in Annual amounts. I found the Doc below on the knowledge base but it didn't have any follow up information and it's from almost 4 years ago, is there a delivered solution to promote someone from Hourly to Annual and have their salary basis update automatically?
